It's Me

It’s been two weeks since my last posting, how quickly time passes. On a personal level not much has happened, but with my back not being completely recovered, I have spent my evenings and weekends developing film. Yesterday I finished developing the last sheets of 7”x5” and 10”x8” film, leaving just the 14”x17” sheets to be tackled. I should develop this film now but I can’t wait any longer to make proof prints from my +100 new negatives. The exposed film from the Beast will just have to wait a couple of more weeks before I start to develop it. Jane and Nigel, Sorry! I hope to post scans from some of my proof prints soon.

Me 2005

Since I posted a photograph of my sister, several people have commented that my sister looks like me. I don’t know whom to feel sorry for, me or her! I hate having my photograph taken so there are not many in existence. Above is the most recent photograph I have of me. The photograph was taken last year on the summit of Great Gable in the Lake District.

On the approach to Great Gable

From the summit of Great Gable

It was a two hour slog to reach the top of the peak. The summit is 899 metres above sea level and offers good views of the Lake District and on a clear day it’s reputed you can see Ireland and Scotland. It was a warm and humid day, and the view from the summit was spectacular, though due to the haze there was no chance of seeing Scotland or Wales.
